Roofers Selkirk

Selkirk is a compact Royal Burgh set on a hillside above the Ettrick Water, with steep streets climbing from the river to the market place at the top of the town. Like neighbouring Hawick, the town grew around the textile trade, and its housing stock reflects that history. Victorian stone terraces built for mill workers line the slopes, with some older Georgian properties closer to the centre and 20th century estates on the town's edges.
