Properties on hillsides around Hawick, Jedburgh, and the Lammermuirs face high winds and heavy rainfall that take a toll on slates, ridge tiles, and flashing. Many Borders properties are older stone-built farmhouses, cottages, and estate buildings with original slate roofs and aging chimneys that need repointing, flashing renewal, or stack rebuilds. Rural access is another factor. Some Borders properties are down single-track roads or require careful scaffolding on uneven ground. We plan for this and factor it into our quotes upfront, so there are no surprise charges when we arrive on site. For properties with garages, extensions, or outbuildings, we also install and repair flat roofing in EPDM and GRP, and handle full roof replacements when a repair is no longer viable.
